An exciting opportunity exists for a Physiotherapist to join our Community Services team based in Traralgon and servicing surrounding locations. This opportunity is well-suited for those looking to gain more exposure to these two clinical streams.

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist, ideally with experience in Community Services. As we enter an exciting period of growth and change across both the aged care and community sector, we are looking for those who embrace this change and want to help shape the growth and development of our service in addition to their clinical role.

Here at UPG, you will find a group of physiotherapists who are passionate about delivering exceptional care in across multiple health care settings. Broadly, our group works in aged care facilities and in the community across VIC, NSW, QLD, TAS and WA improving the quality of life for thousands of aged care clients. In addition we have a Flagship Studio where we provide Pilates, Yoga and Private Physiotherapy service along with sports physiotherapy services to local clubs. As a member of the UPG team, you will have an incredible opportunity to work across a variety of settings in addition to your Residential Care caseload. 

The Role

We are excited to be able to offer a position within our Community Services team at UPG. This is an excellent opportunity to work with experts in the field and develop your skills with a diverse client base including NDIS, DVA, Home Care, STRC, Primary Care and Private Clients across Metro Melbourne and Regional Victoria.

As a Community Services Physiotherapist your role will involve:

  • Engaging with clients with a variety of clinical presentations across a range of community environments from clients home to local pools and retirement living villages.

  • Seeing clients across a variety of funding streams including NDIS, Home Care Packages, DVA, STRC, Primary Care and CHSP.

  • Liaising with Case Manager/Support Coordinators and the larger team to enable clients to achieve their goals.

  • Managing your schedule effectively including clinical and non-clinical tasks

  • Participating in ongoing Professional Development and developing skills through individual mentoring and team learning events

  • Running community based exercise groups, Hydrotherapy Groups and Falls prevention programs.

About you

We would like to hear from people who are passionate about community services and pride themselves on high quality care. An ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, a focus on patient driven care and be motivated to always develop their skills further.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor of Physiotherapy OR an equivalent internationally (and APA) recognised qualification

  • AHPRA Registration (General Registration)

  • Clinical skills to perform comprehensive Assessment, Treatment, Risk Assessments

  • A National Police Certificate

  • NDIS Check/Working with Children Check

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Driver’s license and access to your own car
