Education
United Physiotherapy Group offers effective staff education, both clinical and non-clinical sessions, (including manual handling training, ergonomic analysis/assessments, risk management, RTW programs) across all industries to achieve best practices and standards. We can provide this education in a number of different ways best suited for the requirements of your organisation.
Our training workshops are delivered and monitored by our senior physiotherapists who hold a Certificate IV (Training & Assessment), who understand how to help staff bridge theory into practice through their advanced knowledge in the use of all mobility, transfer aids and ergonomic movement.
Training
RACFs are seen as a hot spot for injuries to workers by WorkSafe Victoria. The physical nature of the work predisposes staff to injury, especially if they are performing these tasks with poor manual handling skills.
United Physiotherapy Group offers a range of methods to help staff improve their manual handling skills:
Theory presentations to small-medium groups of staff
Practical-based work shops with small groups
Train the Trainer Program
One on One Training
Our physiotherapists can help you choose the best option for your facility depending on staff numbers and your specific needs.
Falls Prevention & Strength/Balance Training
United Physiotherapy Group can assist RACFs with the prevention of falls for their elderly residents. Our physiotherapists are able to implement effective falls prevention and injury minimisation strategies. Our physiotherapists also work closely with many GPs and other allied health practitioners to improve the way in which falls prevention strategies are implemented.
